His Excellency President Dr Irfaan Ali met with an executive team from the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) today at the Office of the President on Shiv Chanderpaul Drive. The team was led by the Managing Director of the JSE, Dr Marlene Street Forrest and its Marketing and Communications Director, Mr. Neville Ellis.
Discussions focused on exploring collaboration opportunities aimed at advancing Guyana’s financial architecture. Senior Minister within the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance and Public Service, the Honourable Dr Ashni Singh; Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, the Honourable Oneidge Walrond and Director of Presidential Affairs, Marcia Nadir-Sharma were also part of the meeting.
The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) is set to host its second staging of its flagship Conference in the Co-operative Republic of Guyana on October 8 – 9, 2024, at the Pegasus Suites & Corporate Centre in Georgetown, Guyana. The theme of this year’s Conference is “Financing for Success: Where Passion, Prosperity and People Align”.
